In the campus of IIT Jodhpur, a pond was constructed using traditional techniques known to pond digging communities in western Rajasthan under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, through which rain water harvesting can be done. One purpose of the construction of the pond is to learn back sustainable traditional knowledge systems of skilled communities. This work also helps availability of water for the flora and fauna at IiT Jodhpur. An initiative of IIT Jodhpur, UBA RCI team under Catch the Rain campaign
